Second, the painted cells form a single connected component.
Third, for every pair of painted cells, the shortest path inside the painted region must equal their Manhattan distance.
That last condition is the key. In a normal connected grid shape, the shortest path between two cells can be longer than Manhattan distance because obstacles force detours. Here, detours are forbidden. Every pair must admit a shortest monotone route entirely inside the figure.
The input only gives the grid dimensions. We must count how many subsets of cells satisfy the condition, modulo 1e9 + 7.
The bounds are up to 150 × 150. A grid of that size contains 22500 cells, so brute-forcing subsets is completely impossible. Even 2^(50) is already hopeless, and here we would have 2^22500.
The constraint size strongly suggests a combinatorial characterization followed by dynamic programming. Any solution near cubic in n and m is fine, while anything exponential in the number of cells is ruled out immediately.
There are several subtle cases that can break a careless interpretation of the condition.

Another dangerous edge case is the empty figure. Connectivity alone sometimes treats the empty graph as connected, but the statement explicitly requires at least one painted cell. For example:

Approaches
The brute-force idea is straightforward. Enumerate every subset of cells, test whether the chosen cells are connected, then for every pair of painted cells compare their shortest-path distance inside the shape against Manhattan distance.
The correctness is immediate because it directly checks the definition. The problem is the size. A 150 × 150 board has 22500 cells, so the number of subsets is 2^22500. Even for a 5 × 5 board we already get over 33 million subsets.
To make progress, we need to understand what the distance condition actually means geometrically.
Suppose two cells (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) belong to the figure. A Manhattan-shortest path between them only moves in directions that monotonically approach the target. If every pair can achieve this inside the figure, then the figure cannot contain "holes" or "bends" that force detours.
The crucial observation is that the valid figures are exactly the convex polyominoes with respect to rows and columns.
That means:
For every row, the painted cells form one contiguous segment.
For every column, the painted cells form one contiguous segment.
Why is this equivalent?
If a row had two separated painted intervals, then two cells on opposite sides would need to detour vertically around the gap, increasing the path length beyond Manhattan distance.
Conversely, if all rows and columns are contiguous, then between any two cells we can always build a monotone shortest path entirely inside the figure.
So the problem becomes:
Count connected row-column convex polyominoes inside an n × m rectangle.
Now we can describe a shape row by row. Each row contributes an interval [L_i, R_i]. Connectivity forces consecutive intervals to overlap. Column convexity imposes additional structure on how these intervals evolve.
A direct DP on arbitrary intervals is still too large, but there is another structural simplification.
Fix the topmost row containing painted cells. As we move downward, the left border and right border each move monotonically. Each side can only expand then contract once. This allows a state compression DP tracking boundary movement directions.
The official solution uses dynamic programming over rows and interval endpoints. The number of states stays polynomial because n, m ≤ 150.

Structural characterization
A figure is valid if and only if every row and every column contains a contiguous segment of painted cells.
We represent row i by an interval [L_i, R_i].
Connectivity between adjacent non-empty rows requires:
max(L_i, L_{i+1}) ≤ min(R_i, R_{i+1})
which means the intervals overlap.
DP state
We process rows from top to bottom.
For each row we keep its interval endpoints and the movement trends of both borders.
The left border may currently be:
decreasing, stable, or increasing.
The right border behaves similarly.
Once a border changes direction, changing back would create a disconnected column interval somewhere, violating column convexity.
This monotonicity restriction is the entire reason the state space becomes manageable.
Transition logic
- Choose the first non-empty row interval
[L, R]. - For the next row, enumerate every overlapping interval
[NL, NR]. - Update the border movement directions.
If the previous left border was increasing, the new left border cannot become smaller again. 4. Reject transitions that violate the directional monotonicity. 5. Add the transition count into the DP table. 6. Sum over all ending states.
The empty figure is excluded automatically because every DP state corresponds to at least one painted row.
Why it works
The invariant is that every partial construction already satisfies row convexity, column convexity, and connectivity.
Row convexity holds because each row is explicitly stored as one interval.
Connectivity holds because consecutive intervals overlap.
Column convexity is enforced through monotone border evolution. If a column disappeared and later reappeared, one border would need to reverse direction twice. The DP forbids that.
Since every valid figure has a unique sequence of row intervals and every accepted transition preserves the defining properties, the DP counts every valid figure exactly once.

The DP dictionary stores all figures whose bottommost painted row is the current row.
Each state remembers the current interval and the movement direction of both borders.
The transition first checks interval overlap. Without overlap, the shape would disconnect between consecutive rows.
The direction handling is subtle. Suppose the left border has already started moving rightward. Allowing it to move left again later would create a column that disappears and then reappears, breaking column convexity. The same logic applies symmetrically to the right border.
The implementation uses zero-based columns internally because it simplifies interval enumeration.
The answer accumulates after every processed row because a valid figure may end at any height.
One easy mistake is forgetting that equal endpoints should preserve the previous trend instead of resetting it. Another common bug is accidentally allowing a border to reverse direction after staying equal for several rows.
